Forest Path Membership

Walking the Forest Path

All ceremonies offered through this site are sacred rites along the medicine path—a spiritual journey rooted in reverence, remembrance, and the renewal of our connection to the living world. These works are expressions of sincere devotion, held within the sanctuary of the Forest Path, a registered 501(c)(3) spiritual organisation protected under the First Amendment and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) in the United States.

The plant sacraments we share are not offered as treatments for medical or psychological conditions, but as sacred allies in communion and transformation. Participation is voluntary and undertaken as an act of devotion—a step into the deeper current of one’s own spiritual unfolding.

By choosing to walk with us, you affirm that your engagement arises from a place of spiritual intent, and that you recognise these ceremonies as sacred expressions within the living tradition of the Forest Path.

Forest Path Initiated Members

To become an Initiated Member into the Forest Path; one who has walked with us for at least two years, demonstrating sincerity, stability, and earnestness in the study may ask to receive their pin in ceremony. The pin is not something we give out like a gold star to reward people, rather it is something one must ask for themselves if they feel it is in their path.

The pin does not grant one free access to perform ceremony or perform necessarily in the ritual, but to uphold their place in the circle with dignity and respect, listening, uplifting and following the guidance of leadership and team.

As such, the Initiation is not a title, nor an accolade, nor a mere badge to display, but a commitment one makes to oneself in presence, in self-study, in service to the mission of the Forest Path.

Initiated members make the following commitments:

1. Commitment to the Path

To recognise the Forest Path as one’s spiritual home, refuge, and primary temple.

To devote oneself to the upliftment of the path through study, contemplation, embodiment, and service.

2. Commitment to Study and Practice

To engage in contemplation, meditation, deep listening, and the continuous reorientation of one’s mind towards Truth.

To contemplate the teachings and to embody and uphold them in daily life.

To study oneself, the teachings, the hymns and the sacrament as one sees fit.

To remember there is no realisation without practice and there is no practice without realisation.

3. Commitment to Community

To honour the community with respect, love, and understanding.

To recognise the dignity of all paths and people.

To support harmony, inclusivity, and mutual care within the Forest Path.

4. Commitment to Service

To live one’s realisation through acts of kindness, integrity, and compassion.

To offer one’s presence and capacities in support of the well-being of others.

To serve without self-importance, remembering that true service is the expression of our shared nature.

5. Commitment to Realisation

To honour the seed within that longs to realise its potential in the light of awakening.

To cultivate sincerity, humility, and self-honesty as the ground for realisation.

To orient one’s life toward presence and to recognise awakening as both a gift and a responsibility.

6. Commitment to Universal Wisdom

To respect the masters and divine beings of the world’s religions as messengers and teachers.

To recognise that all images and idols fade, and to continually refine oneself toward non-dual realisation as the foundation of one’s devotion.

To remember that we do not serve many masters or many gods; we serve the living recognition that nothing is separate and truth is one.

To study universal mysticism as humanity’s shared inheritance, recognising the equality of all beings and the mystic’s innate inclination toward the direct realisation of Being, Presence, and Love as one.
